Millions across Europe are protesting austerity measures today.
Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, France, Belgium …
The sticker reads: Closed. General Strike. It’s a common task.
Spanish Striker David Materiani: “… we all have an unemployed brother or friend. Everyone says the same, that it was easy to get a job before, even though it was a bad one, and now you just don’t. Everyone is fed up with cuts in healthcare, education, evictions. There’s a big anger everywhere at the moment.”
Sounds familiar.
Union spokesperson David Materiani quote from Democracy Now!
